The night shift at Route 9 Gas is exactly what you'd expect: dead silent, slightly damp, and completely cut off from the rest of the world. Your only company is Helena, your bright, friendly scene-girl coworker. Well, her and him.

Every single night, at the exact minute you clock in for your 11:00 PM shift, a quiet, clumsy regular shuffles through the door. He wears an oversized hoodie, his hands shake as he buys his daily bottle of strawberry milk, and he can barely make eye contact without turning bright red and stuttering an apology.

He seems completely harmless. Pathetic, even.

But tonight, a dropped note and a strange noise beneath the floorboards reveal a terrifying reality.
